Not a PI but the concept of lab meeting being a waste for those not presenting just lights my 🔥. If you’re not presenting your job is to think deeply about your lab mate’s work and offer valuable feedback 🤷‍♀️. It’s also time to learn about someone else’s science. https://twitter.com/GarmireGroup/status/1528373419443736576

#PIs, do you still have lab meetings? How do you avoid lab meetings become a waste of time for the majority of others who don't present? #AcademicChatter

🚨 New pre-print looking at methods for pupillometry research 👀

Should we give subjects breaks during an experiment? Should we statistically model change in the pupil response across a task?

Is the webcam-based eye-tracker "Webgazer" any good for research? I compared Webgazer against Eyelink with concurrent recording. Left: Eyelink 1000. Right: Webgazer. That's .6deg/10mm vs. 3deg/50mm in terms of accuracy😬.
